Can Mormons Drink Coffee?

Yes, Mormons can drink coffee, but it is discouraged by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), the organization commonly referred to as the Mormon Church. According to the Word of Wisdom, a health code followed by many Mormons, coffee and tea (which contain caffeine) are not recommended. Instead, they are encouraged to drink water, milk, and juice, and to avoid hot drinks. However, many Mormons do choose to drink coffee, and the decision to do so is a personal one and left up to individual discretion.

You cannot drink coffee and enter the temple.
